Does the drum on a Favco not have any keyway? Weld Failure? Through bolt mating? Torque Converter issue? I can't say that I've been on a Favco so the questions would be endless. Any more details?Gaytor Rasmussenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16514516767589548996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8049428407705154949.post-52912652893888912242012-02-22T15:55:04.539-08:002012-02-22T15:55:04.539-08:00Awesome!! For the masts that are bolted together, a very common size is 55mm. Grades of 10 or 12 will be required. On a Liebherr you'll find that they torque up to 4300 ft lbs. Most cranes that need larger bolts switch to a horizontal pin which may or may not include a nut. I hope that this helps.Gaytor Rasmussenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16514516767589548996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8049428407705154949.post-56849260550277362402012-02-21T15:37:07.690-08:002012-02-21T15:37:07.690-08:00Hey

No work horse by any means and the luff is painfully slow. Second hand info told me of a site that had to organise there daily schedule around a certain radius of the crane as too much time lost luffing. Slew is the automatic braking type. Cab is big, comfortable and spacious with a big separate room for all the electronics behind the operator.

If picked for the right job, will do as good as any other. But as ever, not allot of forward thinking put into it. Crane is a crane when the bottom line is all that matters. Radius, tick, weight, tick. How proud would you have been "Flying a Crane" if you would have killed someone? Right. I survived the crane of Sept. 1989 only to be attacked by two Steel workers whom broke 3 of my ribs for walking through the site? Yes after crawling from my Vehicle I was beaten by the workers. Your all are a bunch of dumb assess. I didn't know of the same workers dropping a crane in Seattle before dropping one here in SF and if I had I would have sued. I also remember the still just after and the people who rushed from their office's to see what happen. I am a Photographer and I have 15 to 20 photo's of that morning. I've never showed anyone all of the photo's I took, they are unpublished. If you are still interrested in seeing photos from this accident Please let me know. I still tear-up when talking about my 30seconds from Death as it is like yesterday. jmruan69@gmail.com. The high call was given but the beam toggled on both ends instantly and the lag time on the crane brakes caused the choker to part. The beam catapulted towards him leaving him badly injured and with trauma, he will not be able to go back on the field.

So glad I found your site, I have so many questions. Like why is there a lag time on tower crane brakes? Do they have an emergency brake that can stop it dead? The accident could have been avoided, oddly enough there was/is no media coverage or mention of this accident, it has been very hush hush.MsLaurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05482676379316755805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8049428407705154949.post-82269186349385026222010-08-02T05:57:28.440-07:002010-08-02T05:57:28.440-07:00OK I WAS THERE, I WAS NEAR TO THIS 6 MTS .
